Antony has enjoyed woodworking since childhood, initially creating useful pieces for his home and gifts for his family.

Rekindling his love of woodcraft, Antony has found huge solace through reviving his skills once again, restoring and producing handcrafted furniture and accessories that reflect the welcoming comfort of home.

Wood is a most expressive material. Antony prefers to work with wood that is older having been rested for longer or indeed reclaimed, rather than wood fast-farmed, specifically for the timber industry. 

Its from older wood, that's often exposed to the elements, once fallen or felled, that has the greater inherent character and natural imperfections that create a further uniqueness in the final piece.

Embracing the authentic character of wood that is timeless in appearance and practical in purpose, enables every piece that Marvelwood produce to be a true one-of-kind.
